The Outward Expression
Devotional: Actions often speak louder than words. Think about how a hug can communicate love more powerfully than saying "I love you." Similarly, baptism is a powerful physical demonstration of what God has done in our hearts. When we go under the water, we're showing everyone that our old life is being buried. When we come up, we're declaring that we're rising to new life in Christ. It's like a holy drama that tells the story of our salvation. This physical act helps us grasp the spiritual reality of what has happened in our lives, while also witnessing to others about God's transforming power.
Key Bible Verse: "So in Christ Jesus, you are all children of God through faith. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ." - Galatians 3:26-27
Reflection Question: How can you use your baptism story to share God's love with others?
Quote: Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward change.
Prayer: Father God, thank you for giving us tangible ways to express our faith. Help me to live out my baptism daily, showing others the reality of your transforming power in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
