Strategic Service
Devotional: Jesus was intentional about where and how He served. He didn't get caught up in religious debates or spend His time trying to impress the powerful. Instead, He focused on those who needed Him most - the outcasts, the sick, the spiritually hungry. His strategy wasn't random; it was purposeful. He knew exactly where His service would have the most impact. This teaches us an important lesson about effective service. While all service is valuable, we should prayerfully consider where our efforts can make the most significant difference. Sometimes the greatest impact comes from serving in places others might overlook.
Key Bible Verse: 'For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.' - Mark 10:45
Reflection Question: Where in your community do you see the greatest need for service? How might God be calling you to meet that need?
Quote: Jesus knew where it was most valuable for him to spend his time. He didn't waste time debating scripture with the religious leaders. He spent time with the outcasts who didn't know scripture.
Prayer: Lord, guide me to serve where I'm needed most. Give me wisdom to see opportunities where others might miss them. Amen.
